There has been a big dramatic and diplomatic controversy over many years of which sport is more difficult to play baseball or softball. This essay is going to explain to you why baseball is the tougher sport to play. Although baseball and softball are very similar there are some very big and dramatic changes throughout the way the two of them are played. Baseball and softball seem to be much alike, but they are much different. Starting off with the pitching distance of the two. In baseball a pitcher stands on top of a mound and aims at a downward angle. The pitcher has to put more motion and velocity into his throw because he is 60 feet away from the plate rather the 40 feet as it is in softball.
