The Difference of The Other Wes Moore. Some people choose to be doctors because their fathers were a doctor. Some people choose to be in gangs because their father was in a gang. Throughout the common wealth of America is a circle of ideal, almost a call, to raise up the standards of living of those who feel that their America dream has been ignored. In his book, “The other Wes Moore”, the author, Wes Moore, makes a wide variety of statements toward not just the broad range of society like some authors, but to the people of poor districts to watch their choices, to decide for their better good and to make themselves better. They do this by working harder and using every opportunity given. Upward generational moral mobility, in like, is a constant choice. In such an area as Baltimore, as the two Wes Moores, mobility, with anything, is difficult, and struggling for the next step is common. However, in the case of the other Wes Moore, upward generational moral mobility needed to be a challenge for the other Wes Moore. In the terms of Kimmel, the guy code in the lower economic region of Baltimore seemed to be the lone style of bitter masculinity. This trend obviously allowed room for a father leaving his son and seemed to acquiesce the next generation to do the same. No matter what the rut may be, there is always a choice given if good things are in line of sight. This is where the researchers halter. It seems the only politically correct solution is to enable. However, providing resources is exactly the point that Wes Moore wants to contend. He believes that with surrounding support, the individual should have the ability to choose better option. Motivation is something that is modeled. A good example, is what every child needs to observe. To constantly fight for ourselves and others, Abraham Lincoln, is just that illustration. Raised in a small log cabin, as the legend goes, he rose up through the ranks, using politics. He found his drive and passion, in order to quickly break his mold to go from illiterate and destitute parents, to President of United States himself. If a boy lives just with his mother, seeing the example of an absentee father, then he is nurtured for these things to become permissible. If a child is taught this, and knows not a brighter light, then how must- how can- he or she do any
