The Diary Of Anne Frank

My favorite character from The Diary of Anne Frank is Otto Frank. He is my favorite character because of his personality. He is really kind, smart, and loving. Mr. Frank loves his family very much and would have done anything for them. I like how close he is with his daughter Anne. He is one of the only people she is able to confide in and one of the only ones that support her. She is a difficult person to understand, but Otto Frank does and loves his daughter. He also was so determined to keep his family safe that for a year he planned and prepared a safe house for his family to escape to from the Holocaust. This proves to me that he is a very caring person who would do anything to protect his family. Mr. Frank was the only one in his family of four, to survive being put in concentration camps. …show more content…
Van Daan. I particularly do not favor his character because he complains a lot. He complains about not having enough food and about Anne's behavior. He also stole food at night even though they had little. Mr. Van Daan also complained about having to go into hiding with the Franks in such a little space. Another reason I do not like him very much is because he is not a very nice person. He is not very friendly, and in The Diary of Anne Frank, Mr. Van Dan stays in his room all day and always fights with his wife Mrs. Van Daan who on the other had was very friendly. I think that Mr. Van Daan should have worked on being a better father to his son and also being a better husband to his wife Mrs. Van

The Diary of Anne Frank ends with the statement, "In spite of everything, I still believe that people are really good at heart. " These words were found in an entry in her diary dated July 1944, several months before she perished in a concentration camp. During her ordeal, this quote means that she felt that people are really kind, optimistic, and forgiving. Even though Anne didn’t seem like she was optimistic, forgiving, and kind, she at least tried to get along with her family and friends. Anne wanted to be like her sister, and fit in, and do everything right.…

A hoax, an exaggeration, a lie. That is the Holocaust in the eyes of deniers. All three help support their argument of the Holocaust not existing. When Hitler took control of Germany, these anti-semitic views grew rapidly. “While the Holocaust is one of the best documented genocides in history, with a wide array of evidence documenting virtually every aspect of it” (Lipstadt, 2011), people around the world still decide to turn a cold shoulder.…

There are many different traits found in each character of The Diary of Anne Frank that are easy to relate to, but I feel that I can relate to Anne Frank’s the most. One trait that Anne and I have in common is we tend to see the good in things. I show this trait when I see the good in someone even after they’ve given me many reasons not to. Anne portrays this trait when she doesn’t want to throw away her Star of David because she still feels there is good in it even after all the misery it has put her through. Another trait…
