In this career episode, I shall describe major project performed during course of my employment in Pakistan Council of Research in Water Resource “RCRWR” which functions under Ministry of Science and Technology, Federal Government of Pakistan. I was appointed as Assistant Director and I am going to describe the project KHUSHAL PAKISTAN PROGRAMME (Devolution Support Program) for the provision of safe drinking water. This career episode took place from March till October 2007.
Background

These harmful chemicals cause chronic health effects like circularly system issues, skin diseases, kidney problems, gastrointestinal distress, blue baby syndrome, highly increased risk of cancer and nervous system disorder etc. This pollutants from biological sources are microorganisms for instance algae, bacteria, protozoan and viruses produce many types of waterborne disease such as hepatitis etc. In order to improve health of residents of Pakistan quantitative and qualitative analysis was required mainly on local level which could not become possible without availability of quality monitoring labs at appropriate locations. These labs were required in order to provide facilitates for water quality analyses and to identify the source of contamination and pollution in drinking water as well as irrigation water.
