Although I was curious to go in something wouldn’t allow me too. So I decided to research it instead, it appears to be harmless and family friendly with toy cars and trucks in the window, old fashion candy on display, and homemade milkshakes and of course everyone’s favorite rocking roller Mr. Elvis Presley. So question is, is this a place to be avoided? Well let’s look at some history, It is a family owned and operated business one of the only original businesses on Beale Street in Memphis, Tennessee. It has existed for over 138 years, it originally started out as a man’s haberdashery in 1876. Later transitioned to a dry foods store then in 1980 to a seller of quirky goods. Their Motto is “If you can’t find it here” You don’t need it. When I went to their website to the merchandise tab they say you can find everything! Cast iron skillets, old fashioned candy, ukuleles. There were fifty-seven photos provided for some things found in their store and of those fifty-seven photos there was twenty that were referencing hoodoo. This store sells and makes custom magic

In The Devil in the White City, the events of the World’s Fair in Chicago are recounted in stunning clarity, hearing about the architects involved and their own personal journeys. From the beginning as well, the readers are informed about H. H. Holmes, the serial killer who resided at the Fair’s doorstep. Since the killer’s identity is already spoiled for the audience, Erik Larson is forced to resort to other means of captivating his readers and holding them in suspense. Throughout Larson’s novel, he uses simple literary tactics to achieve his goals. While detailing the architects’ journeys to building the Fair, Larson uses less suspense in the beginning, as nothing is in need of it, but as he keeps writing and the architects’ lives begin…

When playing Witch Mafia on Friday, the objective of the game is to kill the Black Man, but instead we ended up killing nearly all of our townspeople. Like the Puritans, we came up with faulty and stretched reasons for why one of the townspeople was guilty, simply because we needed to kill someone, yet did not have any real evidence for doing so. Some of the people in the class did not feel one way or another about a person, and their votes were cast as swing votes. The swing votes were mostly determined by who had the most elaborate and elongated analogy. Sometimes the analogies made sense, but when the person was expressing their idea in a very intense way, it was easy for others to succumb to that idea instead of going with their better…

In the novella, Night by Elie Wiesel, the author paints an unforgettable image of suffering and despair that he, as well as other Jews, encountered while in a concentration camp during the Nazi regime. The first question is " Why is it important for the next generation to remember that millions of Jews were killed in concentration or death camps?", it is important for everyone to know about this simply to stop the naysayers and stop it from occurring again.…

All through the play Abigail is taken a gander at as the principle foe. She appears as though she is mean and pernicious and just thinks about the prosperity of herself. Truth be told she lies on numerous individuals in the town to stray away from the fact that she is the person who took an interest in witchcraft herself. In spite of the fact that she has conferred every one of these demonstrations no one ever places themselves in her shoes and envision what they would have done.…

“We penetrated deeper and deeper into the heart of darkness” (43). This is one of many passages where Marlow uses darkness to tell his personal story about the journey he took through the Congo. This quote has both a literal and figurative meaning, where the reader must go beyond the text to truly comprehend the message of the author, Joseph Conrad. When reading this passage, it may appear that as Marlow and his crew go deeper into the Congo, the men become savage-like due to all the darkness, or evil, they are surrounded by.
