The Devil Inside

Great Essays
Hello, and thanks for reading. I just joined Blue Moon today, but I'm a long time writer/roleplayer with a good deal of experience in writing and roleplaying online. I offer a good imagination, decent writing skills, and both willingness and need to write in such a manner that the plot is pushed forward, characters grow and develop as the story progresses, as well as an enjoyment of erotic content.

While I am not new to writing/roleplaying, I am new HERE, so please excuse any missteps, and feel free to give me a nudge in the right direction if anything is amiss.

I'm looking for friendly people to write with, in as close to a drama-free environment as can be managed. Any erotic content is something I reserve for stories only, and I prefer to write in forums over PMs or any other method.

Now, without further ado (I know, about time, right?) ... a plot bunny, as well as a little sample of my writing style to go with it:

Working Title: The Devil Inside
Character: Lacy Dolan, a midwest rancher with succubus blood in her veins and a chip on her shoulder
Premise: The plot is negotiable, but I'd like to have it include someone with the knowledge of who and what Lacy is to bring out that side she's trying to suppress for their own reasons. A devil, a demon, a sorcerer, anyone with a relatively ruthless conniver with supernatural overtones would make for

How she was different, why she was different, she didn't know. A late bloomer, she got a clue when she spied on her older sister and her boyfriend, who had snuck out to the barn one Sunday after church. Lacy hadn't really intended to catch them 'in the act'. At the time, she was mostly focused on being a pest, getting a little payback because her sister wouldn't let her borrow a shirt she liked. Things didn't go quite as she planned, though, because when she saw what they were doing, she was struck into silent immobility by the rush of feelings that she didn't quite

“Sin, Satan and the Snake” One can help when thinking about sin to go back the Genesis account. Genesis 3 takes an enormous and a very important role in the history and the understanding of the intrusion of sin. It lays in sequence the transgression and its consequence, which is constructed in two parts: part one brings to us the transgression, 3:1—7, and part two the chastisement, 3:8—24.7 Nevertheless, the concentration of this exposition will be on part one. Throughout the Scriptures one sees a tentative correlation between passages; some say that Ezek 28:11—19 may have some connection to that of Gen 3.8 One can say that modernist scholars have considered the accounts of the creation and the enticement to be folklore.…

Throughout the last seven weeks I have learned a lot as a writer through reading works written by Johnson, Dawkins, Barthelme, and King. Through analyzing their techniques and continuing to practice I have become a better fiction writer. These writers have taught me how to use concrete sensory detail to reveal emotion and tone. In addition, they taught me the importance of white space, poetic language, building tension, and creating dialogue that reveals character. While writing my midterm story, Don't Run, I worked to embed many of these elements into the piece.…

The Lottery In the short story "The Lottery" the author, Shirley Jackson, surprises readers with an unexpected turn of events. First time readers can define her description for her setting as insignificant, but after reading it once it brings curiosity on how readers misinterpreted on what seemed normal but were actual symbols and foreshadowing to the tragic outcome. As Jackson uses symbolism throughout her story she captures reader’s attention not only because of the human sacrifice but the story itself reflects present people 's traditions or religions. Traditions have existed throughout the entire human existence by “[transmitting] customs or beliefs from generation to generation.”…

On most occasions, most of the objects or persons have its own symbolism in a community for example: the objects that were used in the story “everyday use” by Alice Walker such as the quilts, the dasher, and the butter churn. Each one has its own symbolism for example the quilts meant family and past generations that were still remembered. The roughness and the finger prints left in the dasher meant being able to touch the loved ones that once used that same object. All this objects can symbolize greater objects then they appear to be, they also symbolize history, love, and appreciation which is necessary for use because without our history we are nothing.…
