Personal Narrative Essay: The Great Earthquake

It was around eleven p.m. when a disastrous earthquake hit everywhere in the United States. It devoured several cities including Newport Beach. That Earthquake was the start of the end of the of the strongest country in the face of Earth and maybe of the existence of humankind. Families and friends were separated maybe for some time or for the rest of their entire life. Billy was only a 16-year old boy whose family was killed by their own house. Billy was in shock. He knew he had to be smart and quick now that he is alone in this disastrous mess. He gathered a backpack and packed many supplies and food. He didn’t feel anything and kept at it. He couldn’t feel that pain he had when his family died. Instead they were all crazy and insane. The guys had the radio on full blast but since they were drugged. The guy was driving over one hundred miles per hour. They didn’t care about the world anymore. They just signed their own contract of their own death. The driver was cross-faded and due to that he was a threat to Billy as well as the other guys in there too. Billy didn’t choose his actions right and due to that his existence in the face of Earth was in danger. Somehow they managed to get near San Diego. They stopped at a local seven eleven to buy some drinks and chips. “Hell yes there is nobody here.” Billy said with the expression of the munchies in his face. They were free to get whatever they could because there as nobody in there. They packed their bags and put some gas into their car also. They filled up their tank and as they did, there was an aftershock to which they couldn’t feel at all. Since they didn’t feel it, they got on the car and drove off into the darkness. That aftershock created more and more cracks on the roads of the United States and was able to reach over Mexico. They were close to Mexico. Billy was planning to stay in Mexico for some time while he made money to go to Europe or somewhere around there. “Hey kid where do you want to go?” the driver
