“The purpose of the Myers-Biggs Type Indicator (MBTI) personality is to make the theory of psychological types described by C.G. Jung understandable and useful in people lives. The essence of the theory is that much seemingly random variation in the behavior is actually quite orderly and consistent, being due to basic differences in the ways individuals prefer to use their perception and judgement” (The Myers & Briggs Foundation, 2017). The MBTI is divide into four basic preferences: Energizing, Attending, Deciding, and Living. Energizing is where you get your energy. My responses on the MBTI indicates that my type is ESTJ. Extraversion, are people who focus on the outer part of the world of people. Sensing, are people who prefer to take in information through their five senses and force on here and now situation. Thinking, are people who make decisions based on logic and objective analysis. Judging, are people who use a planned and organized approach towards life. I was only two preferences off from my original thought. When I asked others about my type they said my results was dead on. I’m very surprised that I was an extraversion preference. I would have thought I would have been more introversion then extraversion. I feel like when people first meet me they might describe me as being an introversion person, because I’m very quiet and reserved towards people I don’t know. However, when a person gets to know me I become an extraversion person; I become that talkative or easy to know person once you get to know me. I believe I’m very much an extraversion person once I think about it. I’m a type of person who feed off other people energy.
