At a feast that same night Macbeth sees the ghost of Banquo and starts to go crazy and scare his guests. Frightened by this encounter Macbeth goes to the witches in their cavern. The three witches show Macbeth a series of apparitions made up of demons and spirits. The first one said to beware of Macduff; he is incapable of being harmed by any man born from a woman; and he will be safe until the great Birnam woods come to Dunsinane castle where Macbeth lives. At this point Macbeth feels very confident because everyone is born from a woman and forests can’t spread very fast. When, Macbeth learns that Macduff has fled to England with Malcolm and Macbeth orders that Macduff’s wife and kids be murdered. Macduff and Malcolm create an army to defeat Macbeth. Before the battle started Macbeth got the news that Lady Macbeth killed herself and he was more focused on the battle than on his wife dying. Eventually the army of Macduff and Malcolm reach Macbeth’s castle and learns Macduff was not born from a woman because he was born of a C-section. Lady Macbeth was talking to herself in a soliloquy after she had read the letter from Macbeth that said that he was going to be king. Lady Macbeth says, “Yet do I fear thy nature; It is too full o' th' milk of human kindness To catch the nearest way:”( 1. 5. 2-4). This quote basically say that Macbeth is too kind to take the crown and doesn't have what it takes to obtain the crown for himself. A quote to shows Macbeth goes from good, evil to worse. Macbeth had just killed King Duncan and he came back to his wife with bloody daggers. “I have done the deed. Didst thou not hear a noise?”(2. 2.14). Different factors including ambition, the pressure from his wife and the witches all combined to make Macbeth go from good to bad to evil. In the play Macbeth we the transition of two main characters from being decent people to turning evil and killing lots of people. Ambition can be a motivating force towards people success, but it can also cause their downfall. Having ambition drove Macbeth is be a great warrior; however his wanting to do great things for his country turned into evil
