One weakness of mine is I’m pretty quite when we get into our groups. I need to be more of a contributor to my team because I am usually the one who just agrees with the ideas that are being said. The idea of collaboration also crossed my mind when thinking of the groups we were put in this semester. I feel as if my group has an awesome connection and we all can talk and our true sense in without a major problem occurring. This is a great attribute, because instead of arguing about a problem aggressively and team members being upset, we come together as a group and solve it. In the book it says, “ A win-win style that is high on assertiveness and cooperativeness is known as collaboration,” (Nelson 219). Drucker had the ability to visualize most aspects in business, whether they had or hadn’t happened yet, which is truly amazing. He understood that collaboration was going to be a huge factor in the business world in the future. Organizations can feed off one another in the areas of need and become more successful and innovative. Leaders play a critical role in the decision-making aspect and the organization as a whole. These leaders need to have a strong head on their shoulders, in order to make the choices for the company, while also having a good personality. My main take away from this assignment and reading this book, is I learned a lot about my self. I learned I could be helping my team a lot more than I currently am. Another takeaway is that, from my past experiences I have the tendency to play a large role in being a leader. I should use this “leader” title more often and start becoming more of a leader in everyday events not just on the sports field. I believe I have the right ethics and the attitude to do so; I just have to apply myself more often in leader
