According to Komarraju et al. (2011), conscientiousness refers to exemplified by being disciplined, organized, and achievement-oriented. Zaidi et al. (2013) indicate that conscientiousness individuals usually are purposeful and determined. They usually will have high self-discipline, aim for achievement against a measure or outside expectation. Openness to experience refers to individual in high and strong intellectual curiosity and a preference for novelty and variety (Komarraju et al., 2011). Neuroticism which is the degree of emotional stability, impulse control, and anxiety (Komarraju et al., 2011). People who score high in neuroticism usually easily to experience negative feelings such as stress, depress, and anxiety.

In addition, stress also can be defining as human’s body reaction, which both neurologically and physiologically, to adapt with a new condition or environment (Elias, Wong & Abdullah, 2011). According to Aspiras and Aspiras (2014), stress refers to a negative idea that can have an effect on individual’s mental and physical well-being.

Operational Definition
Stress is the students’ perception towards stress which is measured by Perceived Stress Scale (Cohen, 1994) which used a 4-point Likert scale, ranging from 0 – Never to 4 – Very Often. Higher scores indicate higher level of perceived stress.

1.7 Conclusion
This research is to study the relationship between personality, stress, and academic performance among psychology students in Tunku Abdul Rahman University College. The research carries out by using the Big Five Inventory (BFI) and Perceived Stress Scale (PSS). Students’ academic performance will be measures by their CGPA. This research will be conducted in Tunku Abdul Rahman University College, the participants will be choosing from psychology students in TARUC. Moreover, the goal for the research which is to make the students realize that the needs to release stress.
