The government is responsible for our public works. I agree with these peoples opinion. To me the government is supposed to work for the people, this includes jobs such as building public establishments, transport infrastructure, public spaces, and public services. In the late 1600 a new philosophy was made by John Locke. He believed that people were by nature good. This means the government should be less strict with rules and should help its citizens. Over time the government has changed. I asked two people 80 years old. They have a better understanding because they have lived longer and have more life experiences. They said that the government is spending more money and officials are becoming corrupt trying to get elected. Other people said that the government is changing by becoming more strict with the creation of laws. I believe the government is becoming more strict. I believe the government is not doing enough because our economy is rising to a critical state. If our debt keeps rising we may not be able to come back from it. I also think that Politicians are to worried with gaining power and money instead of putting their country first. Another reason that I feel unsatisfied by the government is because they have too much control over people's lives. They are taking away our freedom to be able to protect us. We do not have the ability to think for ourselves any more. In early America the same thing happend. Britain tried to control the colonists by keeping them east of the appalachian mountains saying it was to protect the people but that has stripped the people of their freedom. The colonists then revolted. While I hope we do not have to overthrow our own government it is a possible outcome in the near future because of all these new laws and people being dissatisfied with the way our government has been working.
