The Declaration of the Rights of Man and the Citizen and the Declaration of Independence had a lot in common. These documents were made by the people, in hopes to help better the lives of themselves and the people of their country. Each country had a group that created the documents, France had the National Assembly and the United States of America had the Continental Congress, that retaliated their government. Both countries manufactured the documents because of issues they had with their government, and hoped to raise awareness for their dilemma. On the contrary, the Declaration of Independence and the DRMC had different ways of getting their point across to the readers of their documents. The DRMC listed solutions to current issues, as well as the basic rights of man, while the Declaration of Independence listed all of the appalling things the King did to Americans. The Declaration of Independence also explained why the people of America wanted to abolish all ties with Great Britain. With all of that said, I feel like it is important for people to know that fighting for what you believe in is something that only you can do. You need to have it in yourself to make a difference and let your voice be heard. I think that many people, not just in the United States, do not agree with what their government says or does, but they are too afraid to say what they feel is right or needs to be said. When the citizens were fighting for independence in America, they were abused, injured and possibly even killed. But those citizens felt so strongly about fighting for their rights that they did it anyway and look what big of a difference it ended up making. The Declaration of Independence and The Declaration of the Rights of Man and the Citizen are very important pieces in our history. They mark a time of revolution, which entailed many hardships and required a lot of bravery. I found it
