This means that the King had no checks and balances stopping him from doing whatever he wanted. There was no type of check and balances in their government to reprimanded the King for his acting. Even though I only talked about these two documents there was an abundance of other pieces of literature influenced by their ideas. People even still reference their ideas in modern day. It is very inspiring to read their writings to me. In our modern-world that has so many problems within our country, and with other countries it is nice to read about men that were so passionate about others and the good will of their nation. Maybe there still some hope for some Locke’s and Rousseau’s in this day in
