Difference Between Homeschooling And Public School

If given the choice between homeschooling and public schooling, many would wonder if it were a joke. Most people would choose public since it is believed that public school teachers are far more qualified. The level of intelligence of a child can be altered by the way they are taught. They could be thrown into a mass public school or taught individually by being homeschooled. Homeschooling nurtures a child into being who they truly are while public schools push one more toward what society wants. It may surprise people how well those who are homeschooled perform both in and out of the “classroom”. Public schools are more based on how someones does not how they want to do it. This can cause bad habits for students since they will do exactly what the professor wants instead of thinking independently causing a mass of teachers pets. This will come back to bite them in the butt when in higher level classes that require a higher level of thinking and self-dependency. Also public schools promote certain classes over others forcing them into taking them throughout their education, not allowing them to take electives they enjoy more. Soon after the student may forget their enjoyment towards that class and never be able to take it again since they would be behind. Public school environments could also be very stressful to a student. Drama, popularity, and finals could greatly affect the student and the quality of education they receive. The only nurture a student could receive in a public school is if the teachers offer it. Some schools do a pretty good job with this but other, less well off schools this help is a scarcity.
