Cause and Effect Essay The death penalty has been discussed for a long time. It has been discussed in our class for two or more weeks. We recently watched a movie called a Law Abiding Citizen, in the movie Clyde was imprisoned after he horrifically murdered two men by the name of Darby and Rupert Ames. Clyde murdered the two men after they invaded his home, and raped and killed his wife and daughter. Clyde did these horrible actions because only one of the two men received the death penalty. Clyde Shelton still found many different ways to hurt and kill the people in the legal system, such as the judge, lawyers, and many more. Clyde kept seeking revenge on everyone he thought was in the wrong until he is stopped. The story has many causes and effects to it; However, I’m only going to state a few. In the movie at the very beginning Clyde Shelton is forced to watch his wife and daughter get raped and killed by two home invaders. Clyde was an intelligent engineer who knew how to make many explosives and traps to kill people working on his case. Clyde when crazy after he knew that one man would walk free. After seeking as much revenge as possible Clyde finally was stopped. Clyde makes many people suffer for what he had to go through. After the invasion, Clyde changes some numbers on the shipping and makes the man receiving the death penalty suffer. Clyde moves on to the other man who he viciously murders. After that Clyde then kills all the authorities involved in the case. He captures the man’s lawyer and hides him until he got what he wants. Clyde tries this many times and eventually they catch on and stop Clyde while he is off guard thinking about his daughter and Nick sets off the bomb to make all crimes come to an end. As much that happened in the story it eventually ends all
