Capital punishment has always been a debated issue. Capital punishment, also known as the death penalty, is when a person who killed or harmed another person or people and was given the punishment of mortality instead of jail time. I believe the death penalty should be legal in all 50 states. If you do the crime, you do the time. The death penalty punishes the criminal, gives justice to the families of the victim or the victim themselves, and prevents crime. To begin, murder in today 's world is a recurring thing, it happens every day, every hour, and in every part of the country. Nowadays, weapons are available; anyone can get their hands on any gun. Criminals are going to keep performing these horrifying crimes unless some action is taken to stop the crimes. Most criminals receive murder or homicide charges with a chance of parole. Criminals harm people innocent people daily. For example, In the New York Times, Horrible Tragedy:
The author tells us that three people were foully murdered in their house while they all were sleeping. It also states that they were killed with an ax and brutally stabbed in various places. The mothers face was cut into two, and the daughter 's right eye was completely gone, and her skull was broken. They were murdered for absolutely no reason at all.
The man who did this deserves the same punishment to be done to him. He should indeed be executed for his horrible actions. I believe that the saying, do onto others as you would want them to do…
