Argumentative Speech On The Death Penalty

A man walks into the courtroom with a sly look on his face showing no remorse for what he had done. He gingerly walks over to his seat and stares down the family that is forever changed due to his heinous crime. The audience shivers from the emotion shown by this wicked and possessed man. He had shot a person cold blooded after putting them through a long and very painful torturous experience. The prosecutor has a look of shame on his face realizing the best he can do for justice is to sentence this man to life in prison because of his state 's law. The grim tone remains throughout the entire trial and he is eventually sentenced to life in prison. This proves that when a person is put to death due to the death penalty, it deters some would be criminals away from murdering. Death is feared by everybody, and if prospective criminals knew they would die for killing someone else they might think twice because the possibility of death would scare them. Although it will not allow the victim to come back to life it is a necessary punishment to kill the person who killed another person. It is the ultimate justice for the family as they had one of their loved ones killed so they should get to watch the killer of their loved one die. It offers a little bit of closure for the family of the victim because the killer had to eventually pay for the crime and be put to death. This is a common fairness issue. If I punch you then you will punch me back so the same concept should be applied towards death. If you kill someone you should have to die yourself.The death penalty is needed because it saves lives, avoids prison violence, and serves justice. A person is less likely to kill someone if they realize the consequence of their action would be death which saves lives. Prisoners would be put on Death Row far from the general population which would stop violence towards other prisoners. It also serves justice for the family of the victim to watch their killer die from the crime he committed. I understand the other side of the argument from the article, "The risk of executing the innocent precludes the use of the death penalty," on the Death Penalty Curriculum website, that innocent people would be put to death. However, I still believe that we need the death penalty because DNA and crime scene technology has gotten far better which
