The death penalty is wrong, inhumane and ineffective. Every year billions of dollars and thousands of man hours go into trying to take convicts lives. These felons are men and women who have committed murders. Some people may say that since they took someone else's life they don't deserve to live themselves, but I disagree with that. Taking the life of the killer won't bring the victim back and is unethical, expensive and unfairly or wrongly given sometime. There are also many botched executions where the promised quick and painless death has been prolonged for as much as two hours. Getting back to the economic aspect of the death penalty, the fact is it is way to expensive to be practical. It is four times more expensive to defend
