The Death Penalty
The exonerations of death-row inmates are based on DNA and questions about the current executions methods being “cruel and or unusual punishments”. Now is it cruel or unusual for some people maybe? The eighth Amendment says excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and or unusual punishments are inflicted. Killing is inhumane because some of the ways they kill someone might actually cause intense pain to some people. “Suppose humane lethal injections might actually produce intense pain and the commission found ‘no compelling evidence’ that capital punishment serves a legitimate purpose and increasing evidence that it ‘is inconsistent with evolving standards of decency’” (The Death Penalty Debate by Adam Liptak paragraph 8). This helps my claim because the Eighth Amendment says no cruel or unusual punishment. That is another reason why I am against the Death Penalty This is why I oppose the Death Penalty killing is wrong no matter who does it and killing is cruel and nobody deserves it no matter what they did. Now remember death row is mainly based on DNA and questions about the Death Penalty being cruel and or unusual. The Death Penalty is a waste of time some people may say so come on and help get rid of the Death Penalty so we stop wasting money and materials on stupid
