“Wanting to be someone else is a waste of who you are,” said Kurt Donald Cobain (Brett). Kurt Cobain’s music was original and was non-conformist. Although Kurt Cobain had a rough childhood that led him to drug addiction and severe depression, it gave him the inspiration to create a whole new genre in music, Grunge, but also led to his own suicide. Cobain’s music rocked an entire generation, but sadly so did his death.

Kurt Cobain was mainly addicted to heroin to curb his chronic stomach pains he would also do other drugs and “Experiment” (“Wire”). He would also create comic books and draw his thoughts and feelings inside of notebooks, sometimes on drugs and other times off drugs, his mood and behavior would change in his writing whenever he was using (“Wire”). In his free time Kurt would go to the grocery store and buy big hunks of meat bring them into the woods and shoot them with a variety of guns (“Wire”). Kurt Cobain was known as many things for being “The Voice of a Generation” he was known as A Guitarist, A Drummer, A Visual Artist, A songwriter, A film producer, along with a singer song-writer. Another thing was that Kurt Cobain was Ranked as the 12th greatest Guitarist of all time by David Fricke of Rolling Stone in 2003 (“Famous”). Kurt Cobain was ranked seventh in the MTV “22 Greatest Voices in Music” List Hit Parader list of “100 Greatest Metal singer of all time placed him at the 20th Rank in 2006” (“Famous”). Kurt Cobain was placed into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame in 2014 with his band mates Novoselic and Dave Grohl (“Famous”). At one point during Nirvana was being placed into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Novoselic said “I want to say thank you to Kurt Cobain I wish Kurt was here tonight, OK?” Cobain’s mother said he would have been proud. “He’d say that he wasn’t, but he would be. I Just miss him so much.” Grohl and Novoselic and Pat Smear played Nirvana songs and four women, being named as so, Joan Jett, Kim Gordon, Annie Clark and Lorde would sing the leads in respects of Kurt Cobain (“Oregon”) Cobain would use Heroin on a daily basis to relieve his chronic stomach pains. In his diary, he had written something that said, “So I decided if I felt like a junkie, I may as well be one.” (“Wire”) Cobain would also sometimes get a bit moody and bothered by something and he would sit in a corner for periods of time without saying a word (“Wire”) Something that Kurt said was he would spend 100$ per day on heroin (“Wire”) Hours
