A few things come to a patient’s mind if they are diagnosed with a terminally ill disease. There are decisions that have to be made within the family and the doctors of the loved ones. Euthanasia or as known as physician-assisted suicide is a procedure that is used for those that are terminally ill and wish to seek relief by dying. This method is used by having a doctor prescribe medicine to the patient and relieving pain and misery. Although Euthanasia is controversial, and is an issue, it serves to the medical community. The benefits that serve to the community is reduced medical costs, time, and other essential factors. In the medical field, time is a big part of the practice, because there are other patients that need medical attention …show more content…
For those that are all for Euthanasia, it is not a waste of life because it is the Patients Choice whether or not they want to live. It is up to the patients to decide what they want. People have the right to die, if they feel they do not want extreme measures, then they should be able to make the decisions. There are also religious factors with ethics. Religious issues are also included because some religions are against Euthanasia Ethics plays a big role in medicine and the procedures that the physicians perform on patients. Euthanasia is a decision, it is not force from another human being. Physicians will not force someone to use Euthanasia as an option, because that is illegal. Also being ethical is having consent forms and other paperwork signed so they are sure this is what they want and keeping it on …show more content…
It is lawful and serves as a purpose for people that have terminally ill patients in their life. It is not suicide, murder, or any other unethical harm and is meant to be used for those that seek relief and become free of any pain. If one wants to be put out of their misery, then it should be accepted. Euthanasia is a method for peace and is not forceful but a thought through procedure. All of the facts stated above are reasons why Euthanasia is ethical and a lawful thing for those that are going through pain and suffering. Euthanasia is an important part of medicine and should be used wisely and thought thoroughly before any decisions are
