Every night before I fall asleep I catch up on the news from my iphone. I start off with the happenings in the world and the national arena since it 's the most depressing followed by entertainment news because it 's just “head shaking-ly silly” and I wrap up with the happy optimistic articles on healthy living and your general “nurture yourself” stuff. I need to read it in this particular order to be able to cleanse my spirit of the tragedies I have a hard time comprehending such as the many couples who commit mind-boggling atrocities against one another and/or their children in the name of revenge.
The numerous plots to hire hit men to make sure their spouse have an unfortunate accident leaving the bereft spouse a large inheritance and no custody battle. The kills-for hire group tend to be caught before the job can be finished so there is an extensive trial that drags on for a decade or better with appeals and mistrials and pleads of insanity. Story after story of shootings, stabbings, disappearances, brutal beatings and claims hurled from both sides of abuse of all kinds. It 's like reading about the world 's most deadliest playground. Spats and skirmishes left unresolved until someone ends up dead. Hurt feelings that fester for so long they begin to erode an otherwise clear thinking adult. …show more content…
Everything they worked for is gone. Their one love, their children, their family, their life mired in the muck of battle over property, money, and custody. It begins the creation of desperation that in turn snowballs into despair and then hopelessness where blame, revenge, retaliation and death become reasonable methods of making the pain stop.
