Mother of a dead child

“It is a poverty to decide that a child must die so that you may live as you wish,” once said Mother Teresa. Pondering this quote, it was captivating in the way that Mother Teresa made a strong statement, with such simplicity. In general, abortion is where you terminate a baby before pregnancy can occur. People should not be able to abort their child. To see this thoroughly, we have to explore the reasoning of how this conclusion came to be. Women are trying to perform their own abortions, abortions can lead to premature birth of a future child, and these women are more prone to committing suicide. No doubt, there is a lot more to discuss on this topic. For now, we are going to look at women who are trying to perform illegal abortions on themselves.

Certainly, suicide involves taking your own life. In a 1996 Finland study, data records showed that, “women who had an abortion were about 5.9 times more likely to commit suicide in the year following this event than women who delivered a child.” Noticeably, there were other similar cases. In a California study in 2001, it showed that “women who had an abortion were about 2.5 times more likely to commit suicide within the 8 years following this event than women who delivered a child.” Was this possibly by a coincidence? After doubts and concerns, the California study revised their work and did not involve women who had psychiatric problems prior to the abortion. As expected, the results did not change very much. Moreover, it increased to “3.3 times more likely to commit suicide in the eight years following this event than women who delivered a child.” Without a doubt, suicide can lead to a lot of emotional pain for family and friends, so we want to prevent this from happening as best as we can. Hence, people should not be able to abort their child so that we can preserve both infant and adult

Abortion can be a touchy subject that people argue the fact over if it's right and legal or wrong and should be illegal. Some people feel that abortion is not murder, but there are studies shown that abortion is murder. Although it is the mother’s choice on whether she wants to keep the baby or not, she should think clearly about all of her options. Not only does she need to think about all of her options, but she should realize that this was her actions which had nothing to do with the unborn baby.…

In recent discussions of women having abortion, a controversial issues has been whether it should be against the law or not for women to have an abortion. On one hand, some argue that it should be against the law for women to have an abortion because some a portion of the population thinks it should illegal since the mother is ending her pregnancy by killing the baby. They believe it is considered murder since the mother is practically killing the fetus. On the other hand, however, others argue that women should be allowed to have an abortion if they want to because if the individual believes that she is not able to support the baby or does not want to have it due to personal issues, then the mother should be able to abort the pregnancy.…

“No woman can call herself free until she can choose consciously whether she will or will not be a mother,” This quote, spoken many years ago by Margaret Sanger, a prominent pioneer in the history of contraceptives, still has immense relevance in today’s society. Many women every year find themselves with unwanted pregnancies, but why does it make sense for someone not carrying the child and feeling the effects of it to decide the circumstances under which she can terminate it? The conclusion a multitude of people come to is that it should not be anyone’s decision but hers. In the United States, abortion should be available for all women with less restrictions and the final choice should be theirs, because a woman is entitled to rights over her own body, and it is a healthier, safer option for the woman that does not wish to carry to term and for the child.…

In December of 2015, a women living in Tennessee named Anna Yocca, age 31, attempted to abort her pregnancy in her own home using a wire coat-hanger. Since the pregnancy was 24 weeks along, which is just about the limit to which an abortion will be performed by a clinic, she is being charged with the attempted murder of her unborn child. There are not many details provided in the article about any possible circumstances surrounding the case and there is hardly anything written about the mother apart from the police sergeant, Kyle Evans, bluntly saying that she tried to murder her baby. The baby, who was delivered more than 10 weeks early, was born with several issues, including a very low birth weight and damage sustained to some major organs, one of which was the heart.…

According to the World Health Organization, “Forty-seven thousand women die from complications of unsafe abortion each year”. While these numbers are unsettling enough, with the outlaw of abortion these numbers will continue to rise. The debate of “Pro life” and “Pro choice” are the two sides of abortion that have split the world in half: this being a debate between morality, and free will. The outlaw of abortion affects the norm of society; abortion forces the usage of unsafe abortions, a rise in the already overpopulated planet, and a financial impact of the child’s mother (WHO). While no state within the United States has made abortion fully illegal, some states continue to constrict the rules that surround abortion.…

Abortion has been a debatable topic for quite some years now; even though no one could ever seem to come to a consensus on whether it is wrong or right, good or bad; abortion was made legal on January 22, 1973. Abortion takes away the right to life from the unborn, innocent baby; it gives the woman way out of her responsibility and God given duty of motherhood. Abortion is a violent act that should never be legal under any circumstances. No woman should have the lawful right to abort a baby for her own selfish reasons.…

Abortion is not the only method to take when a mother is confused by her feelings about the pregnancy for how her pregnancy came about (Arguments about Abortion).
