Sunrise Descriptive Essay

It is rare that I am up at 4:30 in the morning. The morning air was so fresh, and there was not a sound in the world. Waking up this early gives me a chance to witness one of the true beauties in the world. All of this happens before the world wakes up and the sunrise, on the beach, is something everyone should witness in their lives. The way the world stops in that moment of time gives such peace within myself to take on the day. Every sunrise offers a new beginning, a new chance to start over, and a new day we learn to appreciate.
My friend, Sydney, and I were sitting on the beach with a blank wrapped around us, drinking cups of coffee waiting for sun to rise. It was quite cold out that morning, but that did not stop us from going. The sound

Slowly the orange and yellow bright ball begins to appear like the colors oranges, lemons, and a grapefruit. The sun began to rise higher and higher very slowly and the colors became more vibrant. The sky and water connect with each other and the light struck across the water. The sky began to cast all the colors in the sky onto the water. The light began to shine brighter and brighter to eliminate the darkness. The sunrise made the water glisten and the birds began to fly over the water peacefully. The sound of the birds chirping and the breeze coming off the water were so gentle and gave us a sense of …show more content…
We stood there quietly, and calmness came over us. We both became in a soothing state of mind and were excited to start our day. This opportunity has made us appreciate how wonderful nature is and taught us to appreciate the little things in life. Everyday is a gift and simple things like the color of the sky or smell of the air can mean so much. Someone once said, “For one minute, walk outside, stand there, in silence, look up at the sky, and contemplate how amazing life is.’’ This quote helps show how amazing life can be and we never know when is our last day, so taking a minute to appreciate the little things can go a long way. The sunrise made me realize that I should not take little moments like this for

The film Sunrise at Campobello (1960) is a classic and pleasant documentary covering a very significant part of Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s life. It is a quiet film that is not filled with action or great scenery, however, this allows the viewer to focus on the main point of the movie which is how Franklin and his family dealt with the onset of his polio. There could be more than one definition of a beautiful place; they all differ from each other. For example, the sight and sound of ocean waves colliding with each other as they ooze onto the shore of the beach could be a definition of a beautiful place; however, the sight of gleaming city lights with the glowing silver shine of the moon resting in the sky could also be a definition of a beautiful place. Hume Lake Christian Camp is my definition of a beautiful place. It is located in the Sequoia National Forest in Hume, Fresno County, California.…

I was over ecstatic when Fernando, (also known as Fernie) my best guy friend asked me to go on a walking adventure with him in our hometown of Kelseyville, California. We started off the day by walking in the forest alongside of Kelsey Creek. This forest has a really big meaning to Fernie and I, because we both love nature in every aspect and these walking adventures are not uncommon to us. Starting on the path we both got lost in our own thoughts, I got distracted by looking above me at the the canopy the tree branches created. My eyes followed the patterns the sunlight was creating as it broke through the leaves and cascaded onto the uneven forest floor.…

Directed by F.W. Murnau, Nosferatu: a Symphony of Horror, and Sunrise: A song of two humans, are silent films from the 1920's. Throughout Sunrise, two young lovers rekindle their romance while Nosferatu is a horror adaptation of Bram Stoker’s, Dracula. While they differ in genre, both are similar in that they consist of a young couple who encounter a threatening situation. The element of space becomes an interesting aspect relevant to both films as it helps to foresee the events of what is to come from the plot. In Noseferatu, enclosed spaces evoke feelings of uneasiness and provide a sense of no escape.…

My grandma finally arrived at the door and unlocked it,I was so excited that, at first I didn't know what to do. Then I ran inside and glanced around, in 30 seconds I had surveyed the entire cabin, it turned out to be a little cabin, although still pretty cool. Large enough for the necessities and for a little leg room, very nicely sized. I went outside and took it all in, weeds, weeds, and, oh look, weeds over there too.…
