The Precious Day: Life is Based off of Decisions and Actions People make choices everyday, whether or not a person is willing to take part in something that will affect their lives in what kind of choices the individual makes. Not everyone is going to agree with what decision someone will make, but a person has to make a decision that will influence his or her life. Individuals have a desire to have a vigorous life, so that the choices the people make will influence their future. Timing plays an important role in a story because a person will judge a young teenager by making an immature decision. The time goes by so quickly that individuals have to live every second of it because time passes by in a blind of an eye. Although a fictional story is to engage readers, the use of setting to shapes the plot, point of view, and the characters also interests the readers by have intriguing ideas of what is going to happen in the end of the story. In addition, the story The Day it Happened by Morales is about a married couple arguing because the older husband named Ramon had been abusive to the pregnant wife named Josie that is younger than him. The setting takes place at an apartment complex. The setting shapes the plot by having a young girl hear the incident between the married couple arguing. According to Morales, “An he took to throwing things and then he started hitting her” (75).
