The Day I Went To Chicago

Decent Essays
The day I went to Chicago was a completely new experience for me. I had never seen so much traffic in one city before. There was honking taxis everywhere you looked. All of the cars looked the same. I had never seen a place where so few people understood the rules of the road. Not only did the cars not know how to drive, but the pedestrians did not know when to cross the road. All in all, Chicago was a very new experience.

Throughout my tour of the greater Chicago area, I saw countless of interesting things, from the people walking the streets to up to all the admirable buildings. While not knowing my way around the city I got lost multiple times which was very exasperating and time consuming, but my overall experience of walking the loop was somewhat tolerable. The two buildings that stood out me the most were the Willis Tower and the Kluczynski Federal Building. These two building stood out to me because of the overall structure of it, I thought both buildings were constructed beautifully. The Willis Tower is one of the tallest buildings in the world and also the tallest building in America.…

After that my brother, sister, and I were guided to the couches that were located in the lobby, while my parents spent about twenty agonising minutes checking us in. After the long flight I just wanted to lay down and rest, but my dad thought it would be a wonderful idea to go out into the city and explore some of the many different places. Groaning and dragging my feet along with shoulders hunched forward I followed my eager parents into a place that I had never been before. The hustle and bustle of the day was all around me, and the amount of people who were walking throughout the streets and the sidewalk was astounding. About five minutes into the walk a loud noise boomed throughout the entire city chanting words in a language I had never heard before.…

I arrived at a motel and rented a room then set out to the museum where they are showing a free broadcast of jurassic world 10, best movie of 2063. I finally saw the the beautiful sun for the first time without having to bend my head back as far as I could since I had been in New York. It shone down brightly, warming my skin and glimmering off the glass of the skyscrapers in the near distance. I could finally feel the soft breeze wrap around me and not get deflected from the buildings. I watched the people from the city enter the park and watched as their city attitudes give way to the magical ambiance of the park. I closed my eyes and took it all in, and I could’ve stayed on top of that rock for…
