1. Write about a recent time when you experienced overwhelm, anger, or resentment, sadness or depression, fear or anxiety.

There was a period in my life that I ran away from my family for narrow minded reasons. From that point on, there was never a day that gone by that I didn't surmise that I will return to them and present appropriate reparations in light of what I did. The day came when I was prepared to return. I did. I gulped my pride and conceded my missteps. My family could acknowledge me and I gained from my oversights. This made me more grounded as a man and made me like myself that I didn't simply totally betray

Introduction and Quote Isaac Singer once said “When you betray somebody else, you also betray yourself.” Isaac’s theory on betrayal, shows that betrayal is linked to guilt. By “betray[ing] yourself,” you are submerging yourself into the monster of guilt. When you betray someone, it might seem like a good idea in the moment, but overtime you betray yourself. The built up feelings become overwhelming and you end up punishing yourself even more than you punished the victim.…

Richard von Weizsacker, a famous German politician, once said ¨Seeking to forget makes exile all the longer; the secret of redemption lies in remembrance.¨ This statement reveals that in order to achieve redemption and escape guilt, it is necessary to first accept and remember, rather than running away from the disgrace that caused said guilt in the first place. The longer it takes to remember means that more guilt that will bottle up and cause unwanted pain. So awful is this pain that Weizsacker recalls it as exile, a banishment from a happy, guilt-free life. Author Khaled Hosseini delves into the same idea of redemption being achieved after a long period of shame and regret. The main character, Amir, experiences a lifetime of guilt and shame…

Richard von Weizsaecker once said “Seeking to forget makes exile all the longer; the secret of redemption lies in remembrance”. Those words apply to exile, but also apply to fear, grief, pain, and most importantly, guilt. Guilt can be like a pond during winter. If you fall in and become trapped, escaping isn't hard. Yet the longer you wait, the colder it gets, then eventually will freeze over.…

    • Identify two areas in which you were effective (and why) and one or two areas you should improve (and why). In simulation this week, I was effective in remembering the majority of the steps for the head to toe (I always seem to forget orientation and capillary refill). I quickly realized at the end if I had left out any steps and by the end of simulation I felt much more confident in completing a head to toe exam. I also did a good job of noticing what my peers missed during their head to toe exam.…

Recount an incident or time when you experienced failure. How did it affect you, and what lessons did you learn? Failure is not unusual but having the courage to get back up and fight for what I believe in is indeed unusual. Much earlier in my studies, I have surmounted tremendous hardship which caused me to drop out of college. I have migrated to America in the early 2000s with my family seeking a better life because my country did not have much to offer.…

Emotional Intelligence I believe I am lacking emotional intelligence because I don’t always manage my emotions well, but I can stay motivated when things are difficult in my life. There are many examples I could use, but I feel like the most recent would work best. Just a couple weeks ago I experienced myself acting irrationally towards my parents and I was neglecting their feelings, it all started when I began college. My parents were having a hard time with the transition of me not being home anymore and they were always calling and texting me wanting to know what I was doing, and it became very aggravating. My parents became too overwhelming and would not leave me alone, I eventually just stop responding for a while or when I was…
