Russell suggests in all her ideas. Between using manners around them, and enforcing that we use manners to employees. If still the employee fails to do so, I would sit down with them and address that it is a problem and needs to be fixed or consequences will occur. These consequences could be as simple as a week off all the way to a permanent termination from the company (depending on the circumstance).
In the situation that the employee fails to do their job, I would use the “three strike policy” that is commonly used today. I would first set them down and address the problem (strike one). If the problem would continue I would like suspend them without pay for a week or so (strike two). Finally, the problem occurs another time, the employee would figuratively strike-out and be terminated.
I would refuse not to make the employee aware of their behavior because they need to at least need to know that their behavior needs
