Creative Writing: The Stone Moon

Superior Essays
Once in some days, unknown as past, present, nor future, a Moonflower Ivy grew to the sky. In the dark air, winged creatures with blood red skin and some creatures that were bare, with nothing but black feathers flew about. The red beings flew in one direction and the black beings in the other. The Gods above cried with grey tears that turned the blue moon to stone. During the lunar cycle on only one night, the two races battled fiercely with great force. The red, bat-like creatures followed one creature with horns while the black, crow-like creatures were controlled by the Gods. Each phase of the stone moon shone with fog as the wars broke.
The horned leader always wandered alone when the battles were not waged. Along the forest and atop

“Excellent, my sweet. Give me here those buds.”
The imp grabbed one sand and blew it on the flowers. The petals turned a lavish shade of grey and the vixen smiled and ran off to the stone cabin of the stag. She knocked three times and called to the stag. When he emerged he asked if she had found the flowers. She presented the silver beauties and the stag crooned with joy. The vixen gave a look from east to west but did not see the honed one.
“I shall return dear stag.”
The vixen left the stag there, only to soon come upon a fawn. The fawn said to her:
“Has fallen down a well, lovely vixen. The horned one calls for you.”
The vixen raced through the brush and sticks and ran for hours she came across a spider’s web on the ninth hour and said:
“Great black widow, where is the well that traps my beloved?”
“Down the hill and through those mountains, my dear vixen.”
The vixen ran down the hill and through the mountains and then came across a monkey wearing a bright red vest.

A few miles south of the outer rim of the Great Fall Forest, stands a gravel trail, lined with massive oak trees and dotted with boulders that wind through a long stretch of lush green grass, and ends at an isolated and forgotten village named Masonburge. Once a thriving, farming village, is now a place of destitute: due to years of warfare and daily raids, that has left its rich wheat fields, barren. Its previously reigning King, Aargau of the Royal Household of the Siganids, controlled several trade lines, supplying Annelida its grain.…

    Kolda Monologue

Normally, it was not unlike Kolda to rise before a human had any right to, on the cusp of an ink-blotted morning, when the trees were still working tirelessly to shake the vestiges of dew from their waxy-leaves. When, on the horizon, a burnt orange ribbon lined its lip, radiating waves of indigo and cobalt and casting the world beneath it in an eerie, complacent glow. A creamy fog would trickle across the hyssop field from border of Sylph Grove, a merciful cover to nature’s cities beneath, blotting the cotton-hued blanket with splotches of bold lavender. The fog brought the smell of the mountains with it, mating with the wooden and charcoal scents of her home, to wrest her from her dreams. She would obey, rising seamlessly, donning her fur-lined…

You told him to leave you alone, but you were foolish to think that he would listen. Even with a fishing rod over your shoulders, determined to get a peaceful afternoon rest with your feet dangling above the furious river currents and the red bobber floating atop their violent surface.
