Comic books are contemporary forms of art that touch in the categories of art, literature, and entertainment. From DC and Marvel (which are my personal favorites) to the other comic book companies and brands that are less known by the outside readers, there is a broad range of comic book characters and story lines. Like art and literature, comic books and their characters, styles, and icons change over the course of time. Similar to entertainment in general, these changes are made to better the overall ratings by the audience. Batman, a hero commonly known from the DC comic line, is no different, as he has evolved through the ages by means of costume, vehicle, and weapons.

This version of Batman’s car is composed of multiple new features that blew the minds of all who have seen it in action on screen. This vehicle is so advanced there isn’t another name to call it other than the Batmobile seeing how on screen the first time a car of this advancement has ever been seen. This black transformable automobile can be transformed into a flying machine and can be summoned by Batman’s gauntlet, which is located on his forearm armor. When this Batmobile is in car form it can sit two people in the front of the vehicle, it can accelerate at speeds so fast it can drive on walls and ceilings, and its wheels can turn a full 90° giving it the capacity to drive sideways. In the front it is accepted with, machine guns, cannons, and retractable missiles. It also consists of side bombs, spinning flames, large jet intakes, adjustable fins, high powered lights, and the ability to pull down or knock down large walls. The armor is all heavy duty that is able to withstand blows from multiple extremely large and powerful weapons including bombs. The armor on the outside of the Batmobile even has the capability to shock, or in extreme cases stun, unwanted people that touch it (Features).. The overall makeup of this amazing vehicle is extremely complicated and jam-packed full of modern age technology, as well as, futuristic technology. When asked in the year of 2015 what weapons or devices Batman uses some common answers are usually: the Batarange, grappling hook, and smoke grenades. Not once will anyone ever say guns. This is because in today’s version of Batman he is completely against the use of guns. Sometime during the 1940’s, after DC bought the Batman name and character, Batman no longer carried guns and up to this day in time Batman has a strong dislike for guns (10 Biggest Changes to BATMAN). A commonly known reason for Batman not using firearms as one of his weapons is due to the fact that his parents were killed by one. So, what all does he use as weapons in today’s time period? The answer is lots of different gadgets. Some of the ones not yet listed are: caltrops, different kinds of anti-venoms, and a re- breather. Inside of his utility belt Batman carries a great variety of devices; some of which include: kryptonite ring, electrical sticks, lock picking tool(s), his multiple different kinds of Batarangs, magnets, and demagnetizers (Batman). These changes made to Batman and his different kinds of weapons was influenced by multiple factors other than just the few listed here.
