Because IndyCar fans are typically used to very short and fast races, I would recommend that IndyCar use oval tracks. Oval tracks can be dangerous for exposed wheel racing but if there was limited amount of cars on the track at one time, the danger would be minimized. On August 15, 2015, driver, Justin Wilson was killed from debris striking his open-cockpit type of car (Gelston, 2015). This type of cockpit is dangerous. I would recommend that the cock-pits be redesigned to be safer and still allow the driver to feel as though they are riding without a top. Once that change was made, open-wheel racing would be fast and furious.
