Illegal immigrants have been the topic of concern in every political aspect possible throughout history. Many people and politicians feel as though all immigrants pose a danger to the Nation and the people in it. However, immigrants have been amongst us and roamed the United States since the 19th century like actual citizens, just looking for a better way of living that will help them to provide for their family. An immigrant can be described as a person who up roots from country to live permanently in a foreign country and make it their new home. Many believe that everyone should get a chance to become a United States citizen and to experience the “American dream” that this country has instilled. However, none of that is 100% true. When immigrants come in to the United States the right way not only is there a test on the history of the country they have to pass, there are also health regulations set in place for them to pass also before they are even permitted to be citizens. The United States is all about protecting the well-being of their country and wouldn’t second guess nor allow any immigrant to come into the country disease prone. Americans need to know that diseases will forever be in America regardless if immigrants come to America or stay in their own country because a few of them can come from animals and we already have active in the country.
So the government should openly let illegal immigrants choose if they want to be apart of the United States and allow them to have the chance to be educated on American History to become a citizen. Americans should also willing want to help these people that want to leave their country and come here so they to can have a chance at making a better life for themselves and their families because their ancestors were once in the same shoes as the immigrants of today. They are simply regular people that want the opportunity to have a great and prosperous
