Millions of people worldwide drink and drive and say “What’s the harm, I got home safely and no one was hurt?” Yeah you made it home this time, but it only takes one slip up to lose your life. That was not the right decision, when putting those keys in the ignition and driving away after drinking, your not only putting your life in danger, but others that may be in the car with you and other drivers you come across. Alcohol affects you in a way that changes your judgment, depth perception, reaction time, and lack of coordination as well as visual motor skills required to drive safely.
It is very easy when drunk to think you are driving normally when truly you are not. When the police take notice you could be hit with a DUI/DWI which is the best case scenario, getting into an accident your life could be lost as well as anyone else involved.

Its sad to think that people still drink and drive knowing all past history and risks. We as people must do are best to help keep drivers under the influence off the roads. First thing anyone can do is make the choice themselves not to drink and drive. With this said there are many other ways we can help to end drinking and driving. Educating the youth, your personal family members as well as youth within your community is very important. They must know the dangers of drinking and driving as well as the legal repercussions of these action. If you know your going to drink tell them to have a plan first and to stick to that plan. Have a designated driver who you can trust not to drink and put your life and many others lives in
