Driving is an ordinary entity in millions of individuals lives that allow them to commute to and from work/school/home, but could easily turn into a nightmare that is never woken up from if not taken seriously. There are many diversions that exist while driving, but distracted driving is quickly becoming one of the most prevalent factors for causes of a car accident, and might even be more dangerous than it is reported. The time that it takes to become distracted and be a victim of a fatal accident is one second. One second of a text message or phone call that could have waited. Conversations, mainly from cellphones, are a top distraction because drivers utilize them for long periods of time per day. It is easy to see an individual being distracted by a cellphone while driving, but when you are the one that is being distracted, often you do not realize that the deadly driver and threat to others is you. When a deadly habit like distracted driving is in place and causes a tragic incident, not only are lives taken, but many other aspects are also damaged simultaneously. Currently, there are laws against certain distractions such as cell phone use while driving, but do these laws really help people in understanding the deadly consequences of their actions? In order to halt this deadly habit there are actions that can be taken to prevent further accidents, such as harsh regulations which include heavy fines and restriction of license, and enforcement of new technologies to…
