“What would alcohol ever do to me? “ That is a typical question that many young people may ask themselves once they try alcohol for the first time. Little do they know that even though it may seem harmless, it still may affect many things. For example, alcohol has affected many things in social situations, and environmentally. Yet, even though it may cause some dangerous effects, it still causes many good ones. Alcohol s still consumed excessively every single day. Certain groups of people may be at greater risk. More than 100,000 of americans have died by alcohol related incidents. Some of the effects of alcoholism at a beginning stage, is drinking alone or secretly on a regular basis. As it progresses, the symptoms become worse. For example, forgetting, irritability and seclusion from the things that originally kept them content and occupied. Some say, that at the age of 18, these young adults should make the decision. Yet, others argue that the brain does not fully develop until the age of 21.
