Almost everyday people are exposed to their favorite celebrities or athletes drinking some form of alcohol. The media alters the dangers of alcohol and make it seem like consuming alcoholic beverages makes one more of an adult and more mature. For example, one in five of the top one hundred country songs make some sort of reference to alcohol. This reputation that the media has made for alcohol is what fuels alcoholism. Celebrities and professional athletes are role models for a lot of people. When their role model drinks alcohol people are likely to follow.
