The social network environment has all the technology and websites we need to communicate with our family, friends, and colleagues around the world. There are many websites to choose from; such as Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter. Whichever you choose, it will be a great way to contact your friends. After reading “Dangers and Benefits of Social Networking”, I will be able to list all the pros and cons of social networking and see how it would affect our lives across the planet. The benefits of having social network is that you can contact any of your friends and relatives on each websites that are provided. Websites like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, Skype, Kik, and Messenger, are all ways to keep up with most of your colleagues. …show more content…
Sure they may be the ones you know, but some people would often get information from the user to track them down, stalk the user, or likely will harm the user that is on. Another danger, is that if you update a status on where you are at outside or away from your home, your house would be open to thieves breaking in. The best way to avoid that is to update your status after you get home from the trip you had just attended. People can often hack into your account and put random things that are not appropriate or likely get the user involved in a conflict that will lead them to an unlawful felony. This often happens because the person’s firewall on their computer is not strong enough or the social network website has a password and it was weak or short. You should always change your password to make it strong and have a strong firewall, to prevent it. The most common danger of a social networking website especially for teens at a young age is cyberbullying. Cyberbullying is a form of bullying by sending various verbal or harmful messages or images through technology; this includes computers and cellphones. Cyberbullying can lead to bad effects on the young user, such as suicide, harsh rumors, and their performance at school. The user should be advised to see a counselor, talk to parents or guardians to resolve the …show more content…
The outcome and the aspects of it can lead in many ways. In order to have a safe and fun time on your social website, your computer or mobile device must be protected with a security provider, such as McAfee and Lookout. Both of these will protect your technology from suspicious malware, viruses, and if your mobile device is missing, you can track it with the app. You will be safe and insured when you’re protected. The differences between how to have fun and the risks of the website is very surprising, but otherwise detailed and listed how to be well protected and keeping your information safe from identity theft. Now the year is 2015, and people are still using the websites; on Facebook there is approximately over at least twenty million people and growing. For Twitter, it’s at least above at least twenty four million and also growing. The CEOs of both Facebook and Twitter are investing of their shares because of the world renowned websites that spread communication worldwide. Social networking is a fun option when you want to share or communicate with friends when you are away. I also have social networking websites and mobile apps but right now, I just use them for college when I need help. Either way, it is a benefit and the next generation for future communication across the world. Remember the one rule about adding friends on these websites, it’s always family first before your
