I agree that those types misguide, however I do not believe that the second doublespeak Lutz discusses is wrong. He states that the second doublespeak is jargon which means it is a specialized language of a trade or profession. “It can be - and often is - pretentious, obscure, and esoteric terminology used to give and air of profundity, authority, and prestige to speakers and their subject matter” (311). One of his examples is within the medical field. I am going to school to be a surgical technician so I am required to take and be trained in medical terminology. Lutz seems to think that it is a choice for a doctor to use medical terms or not and this is the same case for lawyers. I do believe that when someone uses this jargon outside of their field it can be perceived to others as doublespeak but I don’t think they use it to desieve them
