According to the TED talk, “the Danger of a single story”,by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, I found that the “danger stories” are almost everywhere in our lives. The “single stories” always focus on negative parts of thing and they definitely cause some really serious consequences. If other people show one thing over and over again, people may think it is true, although it was not true. I agree with Adichie. I think people should not judge anybody or anything according to “single stories”. For instance, many parents in China believes that studying in the US is easier than China; and some American people think that Chinese international students are very rich and they do not study hard. The have a similar misunderstanding about us, they believe that all Chinese students are very rich and they do not study hard. I have asked this doubt to some of my America friends. They said that most of their impression of Chinese international students is given by “YouTube”. There were many “Rich second Generation” Chinese students who flaunted there super cars and luxurious apartments. It seems that they always play all day and never study.However, it is not true. I have a Chinese friend, Shawn. His family nearly used off all of their money to let him study in US to get a better education. His family do not have lots of money. Thus, he need to consider what to eat for the next meal to save money. He has to find a job to let him live here and he need to work four days a week. He do not have lots of time to study, but he study really hard. He got a really high GPA in last semester. The Chinese students like him are very usual in the US. They came to US to achieve there dreams and tried to give them self better lives. The Chinese international students is not as bad as many people
