As I begin to take a closer look at the fascinating success of the LEC, I start to understand the complexity of the company’s culture. It truly is amazing what this company has been able to achieve. Most companies, as I understand it, have a singular culture imitating throughout the structure of the company. The Lincoln Electric Company appears to have a multi-cultural system in place, which helps them thrive.
The cultural system at LEC did not happen overnight. It started with the philosophy of the company’s founder and then took on other aspects over the years to help mold the direction that the company wanted to go and the goals that they wanted to achieve. Reading those Employee question and answer sessions at the end really brought home to me how important it is in business to have all the levels of the company on the same page and striving toward the same goals. And this is not achievable without a clear set of values and goals, and strong cultural values.
But then my question is, if The Lincoln Electric Company can pull this off and is so incredibly successful, then why can’t every company in the world follow their format and be as equally successful? A question for a nether time I
