Cuddles
Liam stumbled through the doorway after a long day of work. His wife unlatched the dirty diaper their son had just destroyed. She cooed at the little one, whimpering due to the sudden rush of cold air on his bottom. Liam chuckled, earning a quick glance from the missus.
“Hey, how was work?” Liam shrugged.
“I’ve had a rough day and honestly all I want right now is a drink and someone to cuddle with…” She smirked, lifting the tiny lad into her arms.
“Well, I think he is ready for a cuddle. I just fed him, so while you cuddle on the couch, I’ll get you a beer and reheat dinner.”
Liam cuddled the baby that still smelt of the lavender wash they had bought for him. He remembered the first time he ever held his son. He never cried more in his entire life than on that day. His son had already grown so much since the first day, and Liam wasn’t sure how he could handle him growing any older.

“Well, we had an exciting day. Someone smiled today, but I’m sure it was the gas from the formula change.” They both giggled, looking at the sleeping baby in Liam’s arms.
“I’m so lucky to have married such a wonderful woman. You blessed me with a beautiful son, and I just find myself counting down the hours until I see the both of you.”
“You are such a sap.” She smirked, leaning in to kiss him.
“Once we put this little bean to sleep, can I have some adult cuddles?” Liam winked at the blushing girl.
“We will see.” She purred, carrying the tiny bundle up to his room.
