Crucible Essay
A power struggle can always be found throughout history and even to now day events. In The Crucible we can see how Abigail controls the whole court by making up events and lying to them , McCarthy just accused people of being a communist or being connected with communists. Both ended up gaining much power from these lies and accusations.
The salem witch trials were such a tragic occurrence that did not need to happen. How can such a simple lie bring up such a big up roaring. In the Crucible a girl chooses to make the focus from her to a slave, and since she was a low class person no one suspected the accusation to be false. from inside was know as the Red Scare. McCarthy was a person who really affected the thought about people who were communists because of what he did. Since he didn't have much power in the government he wanted to rise up high in the rankings. Similar to Abigail in the Crucible, going from low class not much respect to
Adams 2 being the only person talking and everyone listing McCarthy grew in power from his information on who was a communist. McCarthy grew in power by using their fears against themselves. Even back then to now people are always trying to become a leader or know..
People's emotions play a big role in what they decide to do to grow in power. In the minds of the two they both wanted to be important and be known. From the witch trials to the red scare time area people have yet to voice out what they want to be know, just go with the flow and not really question it at first. At Least later on in time people decided to investigate the theory of the accuser's story. After tolerance and understanding has been reached, correct actions will be met, the jailed people were freed and along with the accusers being dealt with. The people followed a conversion of hate to
