REVENGE offers an intriguing world of warriors, Kings, betrayal, murder, and revenge. The script presents as a dramatic, epic tale driven by the need for vengeance.

While the idea of a deeply rooted plot of revenge has merit, the script would benefit from more development. One of the major concerns about the plot is the structure, as well as identifying the true protagonist that drives the storyline.

Initially it’s challenging to identify the true hero. Given the opening with Kolaib proposing to Galeelah and his guest to save her from King Hassan, one believes that Kolaib is the main protagonist. However, as the story progresses, Kolaib doesn’t drive the plot. Eventually, it becomes Salem’s story and he’s the true central character. It would benefit the script to clearly establish Salem as the protagonist from the opening. Make sure he consistent drives the story. There comes a time he leaves to live in the forest, and he’s absent from the storyline.

The other concern about the presentation is that the goal constantly changes. The first act sets up the goal for Kolaib and Salem to save Galeelah from King Hassan. They devise a plan to kill him

Consider a more effective, cohesive structure. For example, the most intriguing feature of the script is the idea of Hagras falling in love with Jassas’ daughter, Layla. It’s a smart story choice, but not enough time is given to develop this storyline. It can be a very compelling storyline as Hagras is tore between his obligation to his father and his love for Layla. It would offer solid moral choices for the protagonist to make. Thus, consider making it Hagras’s story, his struggle with his father, who is consumed with revenge and how Hagras tries to stop years of retribution. His goal would be clear and the stakes would be high. This would create more compelling tension. Right now, because one doesn’t identify well with Salem, the tension feels

Arthur Miller's view of Salem can be compared alongside Hitler's Nazi Germany. Many similarities exist in both topics and we can learn that when a large group of people collectively fear one thing, they will try to stop their fear from happening and will not care about the consequences or aftereffects. Even if this involves the loss of innocent lives and the government becoming corrupt, the people will still try to do something to make themselves feel better. There is a problem if one person or a small group of people has too much power.…

Paul Boyer and Stephen Nissenbaum explain how Salem Town and Salem Village had social and financial issues between each other which was like a war between the two leading up to what we know as the Salem Witch Trials. Salem Possessed sheds more light on the Salem Witch Trials, than that of what we learned in school and of what I thought I knew. The Witch Trials were mainly caused by the feuds between the Town and the Village about the village becoming its own entity and being independent, money, land, growing economical colony and the petty disputes between the people from either place predominantly the Putnam and Porter families and their problems with each other. The first half of the book focuses on the church and how ministers prior to Samuel Parris and after him were not able to really fix the issues of the town and village.…

Behind the lines of every story , there is always more to the madness whether we know it or not. In Arthur Miller's "The Crucible" we see a very present influence of characters who develop what turns out to be a petty rivalry where ultimately it reveals who everyone really is; it takes place during the 1600's in a puritanistic society in which countless people are persecuted. One of the most pivotal contributions to the development of the story are 3 particular characters: Deputy Governor Danforth, Tituba, and Abigail Williams. As we dive deeper into the story we find out that Deputy Governor Danforth, who plays the role of the judge in Salem, has put forth a drastic effort to persecute those accused and bring them to "justice" . His relentless…

Let it be noted that the characters present in this trial are not based upon any one person of Salem and have made up histories and lives. Proctor and his wife Elizabeth ran an inn as well as a farm, but Miller eliminates this detail. Proctor’s friend Giles Corey was actually pressed to death a month after Proctor’s execution, however, Miller juxtaposes his death and Proctor’s. So finally Miller chose to omit the fact that Proctor had a son who was also tortured during the witch trials because he refuses to confess to witchcraft. Although no one can know for certain what the actual individuals thought, felt or believed.…
