A person, an accession, and no evidence are all you need to lie. Allegedly, this is how you tell a lie in the time period of a classic play called The Crucible. The Crucible was written in 1953 by Arthur Miller. It is a story filled with drama in Salem, Massachusetts during 1692 and 1693. In Arthur Miller’s, The Crucible, it illustrates how lying and deceit can make a community chaotic and corrupt. Abigail Williams is a superlative example of how lying can change a community in the way it did in Salem. Abigail is vengeful, selfish, manipulative, and a very good liar. She also is very good at manipulating others and gain control over them.
