John Proctor was a man was not found of hypocrites but was not the pureiest being himself. His wife Elizabeth had fallen ill during the winter months. Their servant at the time was Abigail w\Williams, who was very fond of of john. During this time they had relations with each other, Elizabeth had soon discovered the affair and fired Abigail and sent her away from being their servant.
