Some may think that Danforth could partially be at fault for this. They may say this because as a judge Danforth had made a somewhat poor decision for believing Abigail in the courtroom. However, Abigail wasn't the only one lying in that courtroom, she has a group of girls with her pretending, lying, and convincing Danforth they were telling the truth. As a judge during the time of the Puritan religion, how could Danforth believe anything else? There was so much acting, such as Abigail “seeing” a bird and such.
