The Crucible Ignorance Analysis

“The oldest and strongest emotion of mankind is fear, and the oldest and strongest kind of fear is fear of the unknown”-H.P. Lovecraft people are scared of what they don 't know and when this happens they cannot think straight because of their emotions. Which can cause a lot of problems. In the drama The Crucible by Arthur Miller the characters Reverend Parris and Marry Warren blame others in order to keep themselves safe. Unlike reverend them, The characters from The Body of Christopher Creed by Plum-Ucci Mrs. Creed and Ali make their decisions based on ignorance. Creed from The Body of Christopher Creed Made her mistakes based upon ignorance rather than fear. Mrs. Creed was the overprotective ex-military soldier mother of Christopher Creed. She pushed him really hard to make sure he did the right thing and she didn 't give him enough freedom to be a teenager. She was the reason why he wasn 't accepted by others which is the reason why he wanted to be gone. Once Christopher had disappeared she decided to put the blame on others when she should have taken responsibility because she was apart of it too. Instead she decided to blame the people who had bullied him. Specifically Bo Richardson, she thinks all boons are horrible people just because of how she grew up.“After all the beatings I took as a kid, don 't try and talk to me about any boon being incapable of murder”(Plum-Ucci 110) If Ms. Creed had not blamed Bo he wouldn 't had not blamed Bo and told the truth about what had really happened Bo would not have searched for evidence to keep his name cleared. Him searching for evidence had the opposite effect and made him seem more guilty. She should have just let it go. She knew that he wasn 't murdered but she wanted to feel like it wasn 't her fault. Creed, Ali had judged others poorly because of her ignorance. Ali is Known as the slut of her school, Most people judge her without getting to know her first. If they had taken the time to know her they would realize that she is kind, understanding, and trustworthy. People think that she 's all bad but shes really good. She has a boyfriend who she loves a lot and he is very caring. Once her boyfriend gets blamed she tries to figure out a way to get him out of it. So she blames Mrs. Creed”Mrs. Adams, I think it was her! I think she 's trying to blame Bo so no one will suspect
