The ignorant people who were concerned about the devilish activities more precisely, witchcraft, executed many lives in Salem Village(1692) while believing that their actions were right. However, little did they know that they would end up being fooled by devil themselves. Arthur Miller, who wrote the screenplay for this film, portrays this event in the partially historically inaccurate 1996 film, “The Crucible” while hinting various themes, and having characters in relation to Puritan values during the 17th century in the Massachusetts Bay Colony. This film falls in the Drama/ History genre and was directed by Nicholas Hytner and distributed by the 20th century
