In 1692, the early years of Salem, there was a vicious witch hunt, where around 20 people were hung for crimes they never committed, and even more were accused.Vengeance, religion, and even your status in the community were all reasons why Salem was vulnerable to the witch hunts.Arthur Miller, the writer of The Crucible shows us the massive amounts of delirium that the thought of the devil being in their town had caused.
